The Lledo Cataloguing system by RDP Publications indicated that LP models are those with a tampo printed artwork finish. The numbering system is simple and consists of the prefix letters followed by the model type as below. The next three digits refer to the livery name. The suffix letter would signify any variation to the original livery, for example a variation in colour. The suffix letter "X" indicated that the models were delivered to the client for their completion.
LP15, the 1932 AEC Regent Double Deck Bus was first introduced in 1985 with production runs of between 250 and 1,000 models issued.
